Maybe i caught them on a bad night. Idk. My fajita was served in about 2-3 mins after ordering. I assume if was precooked and showed up to me burnt. Honestly the worst experience i have ever tasted at an “authentic” mexican place. I wont be back. Waiter and cashier just laughed when i told them. Im not one that wants a discount or a free meal. I paid and tipped.

We placed an online order through door dash, and after half an hour of waiting, they cancelled our order. Poor customer care. If you want Mexican food get Peurta Vallarta. Or anywhere else.

Been here a couple times, and I love it! It's a win win when you're wanting veggies, steak & shrimp all at the same time, all in one dish! I absolutely LOVE the Paella. It is to die for!

Really great food. Layers of flavor in each dish. The chips were perfect, no salt on the outside and a great flavor. Perfect with the salsa. Excellent value for the money.

I honestly love their food. My favorite by far, but I ordered a delivery order while at work and never got it. Luckily the girl on the phone couldn't understand my card number when I tried to pay over the phone. I guess I'll just not get deliveries.

Shrimp was a little bit overcooked, but not really enough to return. Seemed to be better the time before. Wide variety of menu items and excellent service.

There are several places in Effingham to get Mexican Food, but this place deserves a stop every time. One of the best features of El Rancherito is the speed at which your food comes out. It’s fast... really fast! And the food is pretty good... And the chips that they offer every visit are always warm and delicious

Effingham is halfway between us & our kids/grandkids. Picked up a to go order to eat in our suite. Ordered 5 entrees & a kid's meal. Workers were friendly & the food was delicious! They even included 2 bags of fresh, hot tortilla chips & salsa. We'll definitely eat here again on future trips!

We always love coming to these restaurants, they serve authentic Mexican fare and is our go to when were craving Mexican. The staff here is always friendly
